It is very easy because all you need is water, the pop beads, stringing material like thread or fishing line, scissors, and glue to hold it together when finished. The kits come with everything included so there is no mess! These kits are inexpensive too – just $10 dollars which includes 50 pieces of pop bead necklace kit that comes with 10 different colors of beads as well as two types of stringing materials one being elastic cord and the other being thin plastic coated wire which makes it easier to use due to its rigidity.

You can use the plastic coated wire for beginners and after you get good at making pop bead necklaces then you can move on to using elastic cord (which is the most difficult material to use in my opinion). When using stringing material like this it is much easier when you tape it underneath your work because when making a necklace like this you can pull on it and your work will come undone and the beads will all fall out. But when you tape it (like if you were to make a peg loom bracelet) then it is much more secure and easier to keep making pop bead jewelry.

Tape is optional but I recommend using it because that way if you make a mistake you can re-do it. If you tape underneath, then if one of your strings comes undone it will not mess up any of the other ones because the stringing material will be caught up in the knots which are below where you placed your beads at.
